Overview
mCliques is a mobile software product company established by a group of entrepreneurs across the globe. Staying true to their geek credo we "synthesized" the name mCliques from two parts: "m"+"cliques" :) "m" for mobile and "clique" as in "A small, exclusive group of friends or associates"!
They started out with a vision to create a software product for the fastest growing platform of all times, the cell phone. They felt there was a genuine need for an application that would make them more productive socially on the go without tethering them to the computer. On further studies and analysis they also realized that simply mimicking some existing social networking site in WAP/WML (Wireless Internet) and delivering it to cell phones over the mobile internet connection wasn't going to cut it either. Wireless internet plans' adoption is just not that wide spread and they are kind of expensive too. What was required was a radically different, new solution that was designed from ground up for the mobile platform instead of some solution from the PC era that was merely "retro-fitted" to the mobile.
