Earlier, Rajesh Jain had founded IndiaWorld Communications in the year 1994. From its pioneering start, IndiaWorld grew to be one of the largest collection of websites in India- comprising Khel.com, Khoj.com, Samachar.com and Bawarchi.com. IndiaWorld was acquired in November 1999 by Sify in one of Asia's largest Internet deals for $115 million.
