ZoomIn is an online service that enables consumers to store, share, personalize and print their digital photos – easily and affordably.

Photos capture sentiment, memories and joy, and digital photos should possess the advantage of making those attributes of photography more personal, more immediate, and more alive. Their goal is to make these benefits of photography accessible to Indians worldwide and help them get more from their photos.

Their consumer service was launched in September 2007. In December 2007, they launched their gift store where their members can create unique and personal gifts based on photo based merchandise such as calendars, cards, books and mugs.

• System Architect

Location: Mumbai, India

ZoomIn is looking for a highly qualified Systems Architect to help design and implement our engineering infrastructure. Our technology will need to rapidly and cost-effectively scale to handle our continuing global expansion. Qualified candidate will need vision, passion and experience to lead our engineering team through this growth.

Responsibilities:

• Will define systems architecture and be responsible for successful implementation of designs in production.
• Will be responsible for high availability and superior performance of all components of the service.
• Will collaboratively work with Product Development and core engineering teams to develop new features and functionality.
• Will engage with all members of the engineering team both on site and off site to completely understand the systems architecture - end to end.
• This is a startup company operating at startup execution speed. The ideal candidate has already gone through a startup cycle and also brings excellent work experience from a large technology organization.

As with any position in a startup, you must embrace change, be willing to wear many hats and be completely hands on.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge and experience with the latest technologies and processes is essential, including Microsoft.NET, LAMP, C#, JavaScript, SQL, etc.
• Must bring reference-able and hands on experience with system architecture, web development, database technologies.
• Excellent communicator with technical leadership experience.
• BS degree or equivalent in Computer Science.
• A minimum of 5+ years related industry experience with 2+ years in a Senior Software Engineer / Architect position. Internet and online experience is highly recommended.
